Friends & Babies Play Café

By making a booking, purchasing admission or visiting Friends & Babies Play Café, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings & Payment
All bookings are subject to availability. Please check the date, time and booking details carefully before confirming your booking.
Prices shown on our website and booking system are the prices applicable at the time of booking and may be changed from time to time.
2. Play Sessions
Our play facilities are designed for children aged 0–6 years.
Children must remain under the supervision of their parent, guardian or responsible accompanying adult at all times.
Friends & Babies Play Café is not a crèche or childcare facility. Our team does not take responsibility for supervising children, and parents or guardians remain responsible for their children throughout their visit.
Customers must arrive and leave within their allocated session times so that we can prepare the venue for the next session.
3. Party Bookings & £100 Deposit
Party bookings are secured by a £100 deposit payable online at the time of booking.
Your chosen party date and time will not be considered secured until the deposit has been successfully received and your booking has been confirmed.
The £100 deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your chosen party package.
The remaining balance is payable in person at Friends & Babies Play Café. Any additional extras agreed after the original booking will also be added to the remaining balance.
Party bookings are for the agreed date, time, package and number of children. Our party packages accommodate up to 15 children, unless otherwise agreed with us in advance.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their guests comply with our venue and play-area rules. Children attending a party remain the responsibility of their accompanying parents, guardians or responsible adults.
4. Party Cancellations & Changes
If you need to cancel or change a party booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
The £100 party deposit is non-refundable if the customer cancels the booking. Where possible, and subject to availability, we may allow a party booking to be moved to another date at our discretion.
If Friends & Babies Play Café has to cancel your party and we are unable to offer a suitable alternative date, any money you have paid to us for that booking will be refunded.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
5. Play-Session Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel a standard play-session booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
Any refund, transfer or credit will be dealt with in accordance with the cancellation terms displayed when you make your booking and your statutory rights.
6. Illness
Please do not bring children to Friends & Babies if they are unwell or have symptoms of a contagious illness.
If a child has experienced vomiting or diarrhoea, please follow current NHS guidance before visiting.
We reserve the right to ask a customer or child to leave where we reasonably believe their attendance could present a health or safety risk to other visitors.
7. Safety & Supervision
Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether equipment and activities are appropriate for their child’s age and ability.
Children must be supervised at all times and our play-area rules must be followed.
We reserve the right to ask a child or adult to stop using equipment or leave the premises where behaviour is unsafe, inappropriate, disruptive or presents a risk to other customers or our equipment.
8. Little Calm Sessions
Our Little Calm sessions are intended to provide a quieter, calmer and more understanding environment for children who may benefit from additional space or reduced stimulation.
These sessions do not constitute childcare, therapy or medical care. Children must remain under the supervision of their accompanying adult at all times.
9. Food, Drinks & Allergies
Please speak to a member of our team about allergies or dietary requirements before ordering.
Although we take reasonable precautions, food and drinks are handled in an environment where allergens may be present. We therefore cannot guarantee that products will be completely free from traces of allergens.
10. Personal Belongings
Customers are responsible for their own belongings while visiting Friends & Babies Play Café.
We cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged belongings except where we are legally responsible.
11. Photography & Videos
Customers may take photographs and videos of their own children. Please respect the privacy of other families and avoid deliberately photographing or filming other children without permission.
12. Damage to the Venue
Customers must treat our premises, toys, furniture and play equipment with care.
We reserve the right to seek reasonable payment for deliberate or reckless damage caused to our property or equipment.
13. Changes, Maintenance & Closures
From time to time, individual pieces of equipment or areas of the venue may be unavailable because of maintenance, cleaning, safety requirements or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where Friends & Babies has to cancel a prepaid booking, we will offer an appropriate alternative, credit or refund where applicable.
14. Liability
We take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment. However, children’s play naturally involves physical activity and minor accidents may occur.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
15. Behaviour
We want Friends & Babies to be a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for everyone.
Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, aggressive or unsafe behaviour towards customers or members of our team will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse admission or ask somebody to leave where reasonably necessary.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be available on our website.
